Once upon a time, there were many Arceus', one for each type. They bred and had Pokemon children, just like all Pokemon. But that was to change very soon...
One day, a Normal Type Arceus came across a piece of Pokemon cake. Above the cake were written these words: BEWARE, YE POKEMON-THIS CAKE MAKES THEE IMMORTAL.
Now, this Arceus LOVED Pokemon cake, and he frantically looked around for a way to get to it. Finally, he spotted a gate. But this gate was around 10 miles (16.0934 kilometers) away! He didn't want to wait that long.
So there was no choice but to break through the fence.
He broke it, but part of it got stuck around his stomach. It wouldn't come off!
So he ate the cake anyway, and when he went home, his mother took one look at him and dropped dead of fright.
Wherever this Arceus went, Arceus' dropped dead at the sight of him.
And since he ate the "immortality-giving-cake", he was immortal and the only Arceus left, which basically made him a legendary.
